Graduate Students' Association

The Graduate Students' Association (GSA) at the University of Lethbridge is a student body of graduate students, elected by our peers to represent graduate student issues at various levels of the university. Our mandate is to identify graduate student needs in order to ensure policies across the university advocate for students appropriately.

Volunteer with Us

Volunteering for the Graduate Students’ Association can be immensely rewarding, not only do you get to work alongside a great group of people, it also would look great on a CV, as well the Graduate Students’ Association has recently introduced the Student Service Award, which recognizes the service by graduate students to the University and Graduate student population beyond researching and teaching.

In order to volunteer for the GSA, students must all complete a Confidentiality Agreement, a Volunteer Agreement, and a Volunteer Application. Please submit these forms to the GSA office during regular office hours. If you have any questions regarding volunteering, please contact VP Academic at

For more information on the opportunities that the GSA has to offer to Volunteer check out the following:

Meeting of the Minds

The Meeting of the Minds conference provides undergraduate and graduate students from a broad range of disciplines with opportunities to present their research to their peers and members of the community. This year we have a full itinerary and will be needing many volunteers to help execute the conference to the highest degree of success.

All graduate students are invited to volunteer for committees at the University of Lethbridge on behalf of all graduate students. A list of committees needing volunteers is being constantly updated.

Tunnel Painting

Come on out and help the GSA by painting our new logo in the tunnel for all of the students to see. This is a great opportunity to help the GSA and wonderful way to socialize with friends and peers.
